Kavon Nasabzadeh is the Chief IP Officer at Ofinno LLC. Ofinno is a research lab focused on the development of standardized technologies in the cellular, Wi-Fi, and video compression space. At Ofinno, Kavon is responsible for all aspects of Ofinno’s worldwide IP operations, including patent development and portfolio management. Kavon’s team includes 10 in-house patent attorneys that ensure a high-level of quality of Ofinno’s patents through constant interaction with our 40+ PhD expert inventors and by performing nearly all aspects of patent prosecution in-house. Ofinno’s portfolio includes thousands of assets and is continuing to grow with hundreds of patent applications being filed every year to cover new innovations.

Additionally, Kavon has been instrumental in helping to successfully establish new areas of technology focus at the company, helping to strength and diversify Ofinno’s patent portfolio. Kavon is also part of a team at Ofinno responsible for the strategic monetization of Ofinno’s patent portfolio. Over the past 5 years, he has helped to secure over one-hundred-million dollars in revenue through patent transactions with leading industry innovators. 

Prior to joining Ofinno, Kavon worked at a leading IP boutique, Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein, and Fox, for over a decade on patent prosecution and litigation matters. Kavon has a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lafayette College, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, and a J.D. from the George Washington University.
