Gordie Vap is a Managing Director in William Blair’s Charlotte office and leads the firm’s Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services practice.

Prior to joining William Blair, Gordie co-founded and was a Managing Director at BlackArch Partners, heading their Aerospace & Defense practice.

Prior to his banking career, Gordie served as an A-10 “Warthog” pilot in the U.S. Air Force for nine years.

He holds a B.S. and M. Eng. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth
School of Business.
