Senior Managing Director for GE Licensing & Technology Ventures which now reports to GE Corporate Business Development. As part of GE’s reset effort, Mike leads key global initiatives which focus on maximizing the value of GE’s Intellectual Property; whether it’s Trademark, Patents, Know-How, Trade Secrets, People and/or critical tangible assets. Mike has P&L responsible for a team which originates, develops and leads unique and complex transactions with a deep understanding of how Tax, Book, Legal, Intellectual Property and Operations all impact technology focused transactions. Extensive experience with Business Models ranging from JVs, divestitures, technology transfer, patent assertion, patent pools and creation of internal or external NewCos. Mike serves on various Boards to ensure their future success. During his 25+ years with GE, Mike has amassed a wealth of expertise in business development, structured finance, contract negotiations and Six Sigma operational excellence. He is a graduate of GE’s highly regarded Technical Leadership Program and previously held senior management positions across a variety of GE divisions including GE Capital, GE Power and GE Supply. Mike received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. Currently Mike resides in Niskayuna, NY with his wife Jeanne and their three daughters. He enjoys scuba diving, international travel and spending time at the New Jersey shore.
