Matt Larson serves as Vice President at Oceanic Partners — a venture capital firm dedicated to making investments focused on strong teams and fundamentals, with particular expertise structuring transactions in the private secondary markets. Prior to Oceanic, Matt worked as an analyst with Bloomberg’s capital markets research platform, Bloomberg Intelligence, where he focused primarily on the technology sector, with particular emphasis on intellectual property matters and anticipating the potential impact of high-tech lawsuits and litigation trends on the financial markets. Matt has also worked as a patent litigator in Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C., representing clients in private negotiations, District Court, the U.S. Patent Office, and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Matt earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California, a B.S. in Physics and Psychology from Furman University, and holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
