As Vice President of Strategy & Value at Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing unit, Mr. Hellman oversees the strategic management of Ericsson’s extensive patent portfolio, consisting of over 60,000 granted patents. Since joining Ericsson in 2011, he has been instrumental in developing licensing models that maximize returns on Ericsson’s investments in cellular standards, AI, and IoT. His role involves IPR strategy development, patent portfolio management, acquisitions, divestments, and open-source policy, highlighting his capacity for both strategic and visionary thinking. Mr. Hellman’s expertise in intellectual property rights helps drive Ericsson’s innovation and leadership in the tech industry. He holds an M.Sc. in Intellectual Capital Management and a B.Sc. in Software Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology.
