JOSH KAYE
SVP & CHIEF COUNSEL AT ARCADIAN RISK CAPITAL
Josh Kaye is Chief Counsel for Global Contingent & Litigation Risk, sitting in the United States. As such, Josh is the in-house resource for Arcadian’s global Transactional Liability Insurance group providing detailed technical, legal, and commercial analysis on contingent and litigation risks.
Prior to transitioning to insurance, Josh spent more than a dozen years as a litigator at Paul, Weiss, Rikfind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York where he handled a wide variety of matters, including securities, antitrust, false advertising, intellectual property, commercial, constitutional and bankruptcy disputes. Josh’s experience as a litigator includes trying several cases to verdict, handling appeals in federal courts of appeal, including the United States Supreme Court, and representing individuals and corporations in investigations by entities such as the Securities and Exchange Commission. During his time at Paul Weiss, Josh was seconded to SS&C Technologies where he oversaw litigation for nine months, including the successful prosecution of a series of intellectual property cases in several jurisdictions. At the beginning of his career, Josh was law clerk to Judge William H. Pauley III, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.
Josh received his law degree and an M.A. in history from Duke University, and his B.A. with honors from Wesleyan University. Josh is admitted to the New York bar, the Connecticut bar, and to the bars of multiple federal district and appellate courts across the United States.
