John Han joined Qualcomm in 2016 as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL).  In this role, John has oversight for license negotiations, business development, account management, compliance and enforcement, and finance.  Before joining Qualcomm, John spent more than 16 years in Ericsson’s IP and licensing business, where he most recently was Vice President, Patent Licensing, with responsibility for the company’s global patent licensing program. Prior to that, John also led the patent prosecution and enforcement functions within Ericsson’s IP/licensing business. Earlier in his career, he was General Patent Counsel/Acting General Counsel for Samsung Telecommunications America.  John holds a BA and an MA in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Texas A&M University, respectively, and earned his JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
