FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR AT TECHQUITY CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Abha Divine is founder of Techquity Capital Management, an investment firm devoted to unlocking value from innovation. At Techquity she has led and managed transactions spanning IP in communications, media, and computing with the aim of deploying and broadening the market reach of untapped innovation assets and providing liquidity for their owners.
Prior to Techquity, Ms. Divine spent nearly 15 years at AT&T and its predecessor SBC Communications where she launched and led various technology and business ventures for the companies as VP of Corporate Strategy, VP of National Data, and launching and leading AT&T Knowledge Ventures, the global intellectual property business for the AT&T family of companies. As President & CEO of AT&T Knowledge Ventures she oversaw the development and licensing of the worldwide IP portfolio, delivering measurable EPS impact annually. Ms. Divine was also responsible for the creation of SBC’s data networking, managed services, and hosting businesses on a national scale, as well as the restructuring of its consumer broadband strategy to achieve SBC’s broadband leadership position at the time.
Ms. Divine earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from MIT. Ms. Divine also holds Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.
Ms. Divine chairs the Executive Board of the Lyle School of Engineering, serves on the Visiting Committee for Sponsored Research at MIT, and has served as a founding advisory board member of the Dealmakers Forum. She has been recognized annually as one of IAM’s Leading IP Strategists since the inception of the list.
